Belts, Blues, and Basket Purses - Must have Items for Summer at Nordstrom!
Belts are back with a vengeance. If you don’t have one, you need one. Stat. Accessorizing these days requires a belt! We are not wearing belts the way the 80’s did, but more of a chic twist that accentuates the waist line. Anyone can wear a belt, no matter the age or size this on trend look does not discriminate! So hey Nordstrom, thanks for hooking a girl up with the best belt selection!
I love pairing a belt over dresses and blazers. Some of the items in my closet that might be a bit boxy look perfect with the touch of a belt. This fun accessory also adds instant character and interest to any outfit that you are wearing! Neutrals are the only way to go when making a belt purchase. I chose a tan/saddle color because I am so drawn to that color mixed back with white. I will always gravitate to neutral colors when I shop for my Nordstrom shoes, handbags, and belts because I know how much I can pair the tones with all the other items in my closet.
Being on trend with a belted look can mean more than just a dress option. I always love a front tuck with denim and a top, then of course polished off with a belt peeking out. I look at belts like I would any other accessory, like an earring or bracelet - making sure that I have balance in how I wear it. I will always choose the less is more approach and under accessorize, letting the belt do all of the work.

Blue tones are always easy to add into the wardrobe, but a blue blazer…yummy! I got stopped several times when I wore this blazer because the color is so very beautiful and flattering! And a blazer in such an amazing color and at an even better price is a must have in my closet.This is also why I am constantly walking around with my favorite silver Nordstrom shopping bag. I want anything I add to be current but to last - meaning not so over the top that it won’t be a look that can translate into the next season. This blue will look timeless with all black, whites, denim, and even navy!
Handbags
Now for an item that everyone loves…handbags! Nothing says summer is here like a basket bag. I love this one and it continues to be such a great addition to my wardrobe. I snagged this exact one last summer at Nordstrom and it is for sale again and at an even better price! An accessory that is so specific to a season makes for the perfect pop! Again, I am a happy girl because the wooden basket material is neutral in color so it works back with all of my summer outfits perfectly! This one is also the size I like, it can hold my phone and several other items comfortably. That is beyond important info! The cute bags that hold nothing end up becoming closet art. This includes items that never leave the closet but look great hanging on a hook! Lol
