Austin and The Archer Hotel
Case and I recently had a quick night away in Austin, Texas. We have such a love for the city of Austin. The vibe, food, rolling hills, and active life style make it a very special place for us. We lived in this amazing city a few years back and never miss an opportunity to visit! Some of the best shopping is located at The Domain in North Austin. It is a massive outdoor shopping mall that has so many places to dine and places to find that perfect item for your home or closet. Of course, I can’t resist some shopping when I am in town, so I was looking for a place near all the action. I googled hotels in the area and stopped at the Archer Hotel. This is a newer property and it literally is next door to Nordstrom! Need I say more?! Here is a bit of advice as well, something I discovered upon booking our reservation. Call the hotel directly and they will give you a $20 card towards food on property! They also had a better rate than what was offered on the discounted sites online!
This hotel is simply beautiful. The pictures online do not do it justice! It is more of a boutique style hotel in the sense that it is smaller and more intimate. The staff was genuine and kind. Case and I loved how so much attention to detail was noted and we truly felt at home. Anytime you get a night away you want it to be special, and we were trying to figure out how to stay another night within 5 minutes of being there!
The main restaurant at the hotel is Second Bar + Kitchen. Yummy!! The service was great and I had some of the best cappachinos here! I do love my coffee so that for me is always part of the equation! We stopped in three times during the day for meals and snacks because it was so good and we didn't want to go anywhere else! What worked so well for Case and I with the Archer Hotel was that they provided everything you needed right there so we really didn’t want to leave, unless of course for the shopping!
It really brings me so much joy to make memories with Case even in those quick moments when we are working too. We will be making another visit back to the Archer Hotel for sure! I love having ideas on places to stay when I know other people have had a great experience so I wanted to share ours with you!
