This is the time of year that I love to hate. My legs, or the back of them for that matter, are not my best feature. However; it gets hot here in Texas, and many other places as well! As I have been out and about I have stumbled upon a few great pairs of shorts that won't break the bank and that fit several body types!

No one wants to feel like they are wearing "mom" shorts, but we do need a certain amount of coverage back there! This short gives you just enough length without aging you! Are you feeling me ladies? These shorts have the added detail of distressing too but without any holes. Bonus! You won't put your foot through them when you are getting dressed! This one looks fabulous on all body types!

Perfect High Waist Cutoff Denim Shorts $64.50

I love almost anything high waisted. I love the fact that when I bend over to pick up my kids shoes nothing falls out! Now, I am short waisted and I can still wear a high waist. Not everyone likes that look, and that is ok! These shorts are a bit shorter than the wit and wisdom pair above, but they are still spot on for an easy wear!

Talk about comfortable! This particular short comes in 6 colors and is the lightest weight! Perfect for the hot summer days! They are also machine washable and so easy to wear again for anybody type! On the days when denim seems unbearable, snag these and feel the breeze!

At the most expensive this short also provides the most coverage! A longer short can be tricky because while you might like golf you don't want to look like you are dressed to play. Longer shorts can easily cross over to the frumpy side if you are not careful. The reason this particular pair works is the fact that the short is fitted and not relaxed, and it has a nice darker wash that is more flattering on the leg. Shorter body types do not look as good in a longer short. When the legs are shorter the more fabric will make them appear stumpy. Now for all you taller gals or longer legged ladies, go get em!

My two bonus tips for wearing shorts and wanting to look your best is-

1. Spray tan is your friend! I always get a spray tan before any beach or summer trip for that added confidence that I need on my legs!

2. Wedges add height, height is good, it makes the legs appear longer and leaner. No, you won't look silly wear shorts with wedges. It's casual chic!
