5 Trends For Fall 2015

It's Fall...Now what?!

5 Trends For Fall 2015

So, let me guess, you are tired of everything in your closet and feel frumpy right? No, you are not the only one feeling that way. In fact, ALL women feel that way when the seasons start to change. We are seeing magazines full of yummy boots and cozy layered clothing options. Bring on the cooler weather, am I right?? The question is... where to start? I have been having the best time incorporating these 5 trends for fall into my clients wardrobes. I believe that all women should feel amazing in their clothes, not settling because they are in a hurry or simply don't know where to start. I mean department stores can be overwhelming and we don't all have the time and energy to invest in hours of shopping! Let me be your guide, your fashion Yoda of sorts, and we will conquer these fall trends together!!

1. Fringe- This trend in my opinion looks best when it is kept minimalistic. Meaning its not overwhlemimg but more of an addition to an already great outfit. I love fringe because it's fun and easy to work into the wardrobe. My favorite ways to incorporate this funky trend in the closet is a soft cardigan, an everyday cross body, a scarf, or on a shoe.

2. Tone on Tone- I am ecstatic to see this happening for the fall because it is so easy to pull off and it looks very clean and current. Take camel, beige, blush, taupe, cream, white, denim, gray, or black and layer matching tones to create a flattering neutral outfit. We see this trend done a lot in celebrity photos, and the outcome is a soft and classic feel.

3. Ripped Denim- Yay!! the rebel in me is jumping up and down at the moment!! How fun is it to be able to wear comfortable denim with holes in it and it's not just ok… it's a must! Whether you are headed to a baseball game in your casual slip on tennis and a v-neck tee, or wearing them with heels and a crisp white blouse to dinner you will be killing it, seriously. (If you think I'm crazy … that's ok. Try it first and then email me later after you have come to your senses:-)

4. Oxblood, burgundy, wine… you get it…we keep seeing everywhere! It's ok if this is not the color you go crazy over, or if you feel like it doesn't look good on you. Grab it in the form of a handbag, a bracelet, a scarf, a pointed toe flat, and use it as you accent piece back with grey, navy, black, white, denim… I can keep going! It's a simple way to be current without trying too hard. I love this color on the lip too!

5. Ponchos! Ok, so how do we wear ponchos without looking like we have on a horse blanket? Two rules my friends…and please listen to me so that you don't feel like a farm animal wrapped up for winter when you are staring at yourself in the dressing room…

1. Pay attention to the weight of the fabric, meaning a really heavy fabric can make you look heavier than you are. Purchase one that is lighter weight and soft. This will move with you and have a cozy look as opposed to stiff and forced. Wear boots or something with height and your skinny jeans to balance the amount of material on top.

2. Length matters too…too long, your body is lost in a sea of poncho gone wrong. On the other hand if it's too short you just chopped off your body making the poncho look like it should be on your child and not on you! My favorite pocho length is finger tip to right below the knee. They really are the best, I just want to make sure you look your best wearing one!

Enjoy this change of season, cozy up in your layers with a coffee and a great book. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this blog! I hope you enjoy these fall trends as much as I do!

Wear what you love...and you will love what you wear!

xoxo
